About Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that involves more than 1 million individuals in the United States of America and 10 million worldwide.

This clinical study wants to evaluate the effectiveness of AP-472, a potential treatment for Parkinson's disease. During this condition, a part of the brain that helps control movement becomes too active; this causes movement symptoms usually seen in the disease.

AP-472 (the study drug) is designed to help this part of the brain work more normally by balancing its activity, this may help improve movement and increase the amount of time each day when symptoms are better controlled.

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, you may qualify to participate in a clinical study that is enrolling now.

You may be eligible
to join if you:

  • Are 30 to 80 years old
  • Have a Diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease
  • Can swallow oral medications
  • Have motor fluctuations (time of the day when PD medications don't work)

Those who qualify
may receive:

  • Reimbursement for selected expenses.
  • No-cost study-related care.
  • No-cost study drug.
